Word 2010 and 2011 Compatibility EndNote X5 for Windows EndNote X5 is compatible with Word 2010 (32-/64-bit) for Windows. EndNote X4 for Mac EndNote X4 is compatible with Word 2011 for Mac OS X. EndNote X4 Mac users can download the EndNote X4.0.2 update file. EndNote X4 for Windows EndNote X4 is compatible with Word 2010 (32-/64-bit) for Windows. EndNote X4 users can update easily using Program Updates. Close all programs and turn off any background software, such as virus protection software. From within EndNote, choose "EndNote Program Updates" from the "Help" menu and follow the on-screen prompts. Alternatively, the X4.0.2 update may be downloaded and installed. EndNote Web Get the latest Word CWYW tools. EndNote Web is compatible with Word 2010 (32-bit) for Windows and Word 2011 for Mac OS X. It is not compatible with Word 2010 (64-bit) at this time.EndNote X3 and earlier EndNote X3 and earlier are not compatible with Word 2010/2011. An upgrade to EndNote X5 or X4.0.2 is required to work with the latest versions of Word.Word 2007 Compatibility: EndNote X1 and later are compatible with Word 2007.
