Then join us in Paris for the first French Stata Users Group meeting ! Ritme, as the official distributor of Stata in France, Belgium, Luxembourg and Switzerland, is glad to welcome you to this first French edition. The event will take place on Thursday July 6th, 2017. It will be held in the premises of our academic partner at Sciences Po (Institut d'études politiques de Paris).

The committee is responsible for the scientific program. The committee will referee abstracts and determine the schedule of presentations.

Salima Bouayad
Researcher in the Group of Analysis of Routes and Salary Levels (GAINS) and associate researcher in the Center of Research in Economy and Statistics (CREST). Authorized to supervise research, her work focuses on spatial econometrics, public policy impact assessment, territorial analysis and European cohesion policy.

Yann le Strat
Biostatistician at Public Health France and specialized in surveillance data analysis and complex surveys.

M.José Miguel Gaspar

Active researcher in the field of empirical corporate finance.  His research interests focus on the link between ownership structures, incentives, and firm performance. His paper on Secondary Buyouts has received the 2015 Syntec Conseil en Management award for Best Academic Paper in the Finance/Strategy category. He teaches Corporate Financial Management, Mergers and Acquisitions, and Private Equity in several masters and graduate programs. José-Miguel holds a Ph.D in Finance from INSEAD and an MSc. in Management and a BSc. in Economics from Nova School of Business and Economics in Lisbon, Portugal.




This year's SUGM's french edition will have two tremendous speakers from StataCorp to discuss all subjects below and more:

Dr. Chuck Huber

Senior Statistician at StataCorp LP. and Adjunct Associate Professor of Biostatistics at Texas A&M. Dr Huber has bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology as well as a master's degree and PhD in Biostatistics from the University of Texas School of Public Health. He is a former Associate Professor of
Biostatistics at Texas A&M where he taught courses in biostatistics, categorical data analysis, survey sampling and statistical genetics.

Houssein Assaad

Senior Statistician and software developer at StataCorp LLC. Dr Assaad has a Ph.D. degree in Statistics from the Univeristy of Texas at Dallas. He is a former research assistant professor at Texas A&M University where his research focused on longitudinal and functional data analysis.

Ritme would then offer participants to register for the next similar event or reimburse them.
