EndNote Update X4.0.2 for Mac OS X
The update is available to EndNote X4 for Mac OS X users and includes a number of improvements. Note: You must have a licensed copy of EndNote X4.0 for Mac OS X installed to run the X4.0.2 update.

INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS 
If you are part of a site license, please check your university or company web site for updates. Once updated, the "About EndNote" screen should read Build 7031.

  1. Using Safari, download the Mac OS X Update.
  2. You will find the update in the Download forlder
  3. Open the "EndNoteX4.0.2Installer" file and follow the prompts

If you receive a message that Endnote X4 cannot be found to update, do one of the following (requires your product key):

  • Uninstall X4, reinstall X4 and apply the X4.0.2 update, or
  • Uninstall X4 and install X4.0.2 (download file).

  • PDF Indexing - several improvements to indexing and minor interface user changes.
  • Word 2008 on Leopard 10.6 no longer crashes after printing.
  • The Word autogroup no longer changes the current library selection when using Cite While You Write.
  • PDF imports now search PubMed to complete citation data with additional fields not found in CrossRef.
  • Find Full Text now supports Serials Solutions links.
  • Reference edits within the online Search mode are retained when copied to a local library.

  • Errata: The EndNote X4.0.2 Help system contains inaccurate information.
    • “EndNote Web Transfer References Dialog” refers to an "Include File and Figure Attachments" check box that is not available in X4.0.2. File and figure attachments are only available in EndNote.
    • The Search tab" contains information about a "Use Asterisk as Wildcard" check box that does not exist.
